Why you want to be elected?
I believe that for the past two years I had done enough for the overall development of EYP, participation of EYP Ukraine members in events abroad and conduction of local sessions. Now I would like to focus my attention on one sphere which is vital for EYP – Fundraising. EYP has changed a lot over the past two years, and I want to be a part of the organisation’s further change.
How will you contribute to the work of the European Youth Parliament – Ukraine?
I’ve been a part of fundraising team for a couple of international events; moreover, I had an extremely successful fundraising experience for the National Selection 2008. I also would like to share the practical and theoretical knowledge which I’ve gained on the EYP Fundraising Training in Berlin this Fall. But there is something more than my experience – I believe that nothing can be achieved by one person, therefore my desire is to make a strong team that will be working for the good of organisation.
What are your plans for the term you are running for?
While working as a Board Member on International Activities I’ve always emphasised the importance of inner EYP-Ukraine activities in order to have a chance to travel abroad. I believe that being proud of your National committee while travelling abroad is extremely important. If I am elected as a VP on fundraising, I’ll do my best for the sustainable development of EYP. Among the goals I would like to achieve while holding this position there are: • Creation of a fundraising team • Fundraising trainings with experts from Ukraine and abroad • Fundraising for the Lviv IS and other EYP-Ukraine events • Follow up of all the past relations with sponsors, establishment new connections, search for strategic partners • Assistance to delegations
In the future I see EYP as an organisation which does not rush for money before each event. I believe that we are able to secure our budgets if we work hard and work together. I hope that the newly-elected board will make EYPers understand that there is nothing impossible if you believe that something can be done, that what we do for EYP is of the same importance as what EYP does for us. Cause I already believe in that =)
