The fair will be preceded by a press-conference, from 14.30 to 15.45. H. E. Mr. Francis M. O’Donnell, designated representative of the UN Secretary-General, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine and UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine, and himself a former United Nations Volunteer (1976-1978), will speak along with UN Good Will Ambassador Ani Lorak, the singer Oleg Skrypka and other speakers including the US Peace Corps Director Karl Beck, the UNV HQ Program Specialist Mr Kwabena Asante Ntiamoah, Director of Red Cross Ukraine Ms. Alla Khabarova and Director of Dobra Volya Volunteer Organization Ms Tatyana Danyliv. The topic of the press-conference will be “Volunteerism and Achievements of MDGs: Importance of Volunteers in the Development Process”.
